- Malaysia consumes on average 145,000,000kgs (145,000 tons) of frozen imported HALAL beef a year.
- With the current investigation on the HALAL scandal of imported beef, it is time to increase the domestic supply to be self-sufficient and not rely on imported meat.
INTERNATIONAL
- There is a huge demand for MALAYSIA HALAL CERTIFIEDD (JAKIM labelled) products.
- The export of MALAYSIA HALAL CERTIFIED BEEF in 2019 was 6,000,000kgs (6,000 tons)

ABBATOIRS FACILITIES - MALAYSIA
BACKGROUND
- Working with DVS and private abattoir
- Current abbatoir capacity to slaughter up to 500 heads per day (accross the country)
- Have the facitlities upgrade to 5,000 heads per day depending on the demand
- Able to feedlot 10,000 cattle with the option to expand for another 10,000
- Have DVS, Maqis and JAKIM HALAL approvals and certifications
ABBATOIRS FACILITIES - MONGOLIA
BACKGROUND
- Currently has the capacity to slaughter 300 heads per day
- To upgrade up to 2,000 heads per day depending on the demand
- Able to feedlot 20,000 cattle with the option to expand for another 50,000
- Follow JAKIM procedures and SOPs
- For exporting outside Malaysia - awaiting JAKIM Certification
